"A FAVORITE!" I'm currently dining at Mei Wei Asian Bistro, near downtown Huntsville, Alabama. This restaurant and the particular meal that I've chosen again today have long been a favorite choice of mine here. My meal today is the "Thai Coconut Curry" with beef and white rice. EXCELLENT! And, I chose the RED ... version---which is rather hot (to very hot for some)---versus the GREEN (or mild). For the beef version, they use flank steak, and the way they prepare it makes it just MELT IN YOUR MOUTH as you are eating it. This is my go to for Chinese. Definitely my #1 favorite Chinese food restaurants in Alabama. Everything tastes light, and my dad who is allergic to MSG didn’t have any side effects after eating there. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese! So I’ve been goin to Mei Wei for some years but I must say, for them to be an Asian Bistro, they make better fried rice than most of the “authentic” Chinese places in town! My fave fried rice was from Ding How before they closed. Mei Weis rice always has huge succulent pieces of chicken, egg that’s slightly fried and ... perfect broccoli carrots and peas!
